Liszt is the favourite composer of the young prodigy and favourite disciple of Alfred Brendel. In this concert, he will explore all facets of Liszt: poetic, lyrical and fiendish, comparing him to two of the greatest French composers: Guillaume de Machaut, the creator of polyphony, about whom he is preparing an opera, and Gabriel Fauré, the master of harmony.
