It is no longer a secret that Jakub Józef Orliński has a miraculous voice, sometimes soft and shimmering like a silk fabric, sometimes dazzling and invincible like the most inspiring bugle. Revealed to the general public by his unequalled mastery of the baroque repertoire, among others in his two albums recorded with Il Pomo d'Oro or his remarkable incarnation of the title role in Handel's Rinaldo, he also knows how to distinguish himself by the great diversity of composers he tackles and the multiplicity of vocal facets he adorns according to the repertoire chosen. In this recital programme, skilfully elaborated with his accomplice Michał Biel on the piano, the countertenor invites us to travel between several languages, in a tone of confidence: confidently anchored in the Baroque universe that suits him so well, he joins the Polish regions evoking his origins.
