    Mozart  Sonata No. 14 K. 457
    Schumann  Fantaisie Op. 17
    Schubert  Sonata No. 21 D. 960

The finest British pianist of his generation has never actually given a recital in France yet. The first British pianist to have studied at the Leningrad Conservatoire and a student of the legendary Clifford Curzon, Christian Blackshaw had a stellar early career before withdrawing from the concert stage when his wife passed away. He made a comeback in his sixties in 2010, in London initially then in major venues in the United States, Europe and Russia. He opens the piano season at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées with a signature programme which is guaranteed to be a very special event.
