In Voix off, Denis Podalydès uses their voices to introduce us to those who have made a difference: his family, friends, the actors he has worked with, professional encounters and love affairs. He has always been sensitive to intonation, which, whether right or wrong, changes the meaning of a sentence, giving it depth or making it ridiculous.
The source of this passion was a phrase remarked by one of his friends: "Que le jour est lent à mourir par ces soirs démesurés de l'été."(Albertine disparue, Marcel Proust). Denis Podalydès had a revelation after reading it aloud, repeating it over and over again. And when you've seen him in the theatre or at the cinema, when you've heard him, you know the perfection of his diction, which gives soul to the texts. He is accompanied on piano by Shani Diluka, who will be performing works by Gluck, Debussy, Bach, Mozart, Moondog, Glass.
