This adaption of Handel’s Messiah, developed by the composer himself in 1741, was presented exclusively at the London Foundling Hospital in 1754. This version, which was specially created for this charity event, enchanted the audience with its unique vocal and instrumental arrangements. Handel’s modifications brought a new dimension to this iconic baroque work. With a young international cast conducted by Hervé Niquet, this lively interpretation of Handel’s Messiah offers an unusual musical experience combining passion and virtuosity to celebrate this timeless masterpiece in style.
