It is exactly a century since the death of Gabriel Fauré, one of the greatest French composers who, it is often forgotten, conducted the inaugural concert at the Théâtre on 2 April 1913. As a tribute, the early generation of Fauré exponents – Jean-Philippe Collard, Jean-Claude Pennetier and Bernard Tétu – are supporting the next generation which is ready to take up the baton as I Giardini, le Tchalik Quartet and Dania Tchalik present a celebration of piano, chamber music, and the Requiem.
