    Twenty-five years already!

Philippe Jaroussky needs no introduction as his life has been associated with the Théâtre on avenue Montaigne for so many years. His consummate technical mastery means that he can achieve bold and risky nuances across a very wide range of repertoire. As a musician, he has been curious for many years about exploring new horizons. Although his personal preference is early music (Orlando furioso by Vivaldi, Alcina by Handel, and a plethora of recitals introducing us to neglected masters who have proved to be fascinating), we have also enjoyed him in mélodie française and Schubert (reprised at the start of this season), with the very contemporary Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho, or celebrating the memory of Barbara with guitarist Thibaut Garcia. Recently, we encountered him in the orchestra pit conducting a memorable Giulio Cesare. This evening, he will celebrate this unique career with his friends in what promises to be a lavish event.
