Sunwook Kim | piano
Sunwook Kim goes solo to celebrate Schubert, Albéniz and Liszt.
Schubert Four Impromptus Op. 90 D. 899
Albéniz Iberia, Book II
Liszt Sonata in B minor S. 178
A new dream of a programme devised by Sunwook Kim, winner of the Leeds Piano Competition in 2006, who is quite at home exploring the great works for piano. His elegance and natural authority will shine in Schubert’s Four Impromptus and in the luxuriance of Albéniz. He will then move onto the iconic Sonata in B by Liszt, probably the musician’s most accomplished work for the piano with its architecture worthy of a symphonic poem, whose fullness and power it prefigures.
